If you want a balanced one-piece alloy BBCOR bat, the Louisville Slugger Atlas 2.0 and the Combat Spec A1 are the two to compare. Both are -3 with a 2 5/8-inch barrel, and both makers list them as balanced. The Atlas 2.0 is Louisville Slugger's all-new 2027 one-piece with a vibration damper in the handle. The Spec A1 is built around Combat's long S.F.X. barrel. Neither needs a break-in.

- Want a long barrel in a one-piece alloy: Combat Spec A1. Combat says its S.F.X. barrel technology gives it a longer barrel and bigger sweet spot than any other one-piece alloy.
- Want vibration control in a one-piece: Louisville Slugger Atlas 2.0, with a Tuned Mass Damper in the handle.
- Need a 29 or 30-inch bat: the Atlas 2.0. Louisville Slugger lists it from 29 to 34 inches, and Combat lists the Spec A1 from 31 to 34.
Combat Spec A1
A balanced one-piece alloy built around Combat's S.F.X. barrel technology, which Combat says gives it a longer barrel and bigger sweet spot than any other one-piece alloy. Combat describes the feel as stiff and one-piece. It comes in 31, 32, 33, 33.5 and 34 inches.
- Construction: one-piece alloy, balanced

Louisville Slugger Atlas 2.0
Louisville Slugger's all-new 2027 one-piece alloy. It pairs an EVX Alloy Tech barrel with an XPND end cap that Louisville Slugger says expands the sweet spot toward the end of the barrel, and a Tuned Mass Damper in the handle to absorb vibration. It comes in 29 to 34 inches, including 32.5 and 33.5.
- Construction: one-piece alloy, balanced, Pro Design knob taper
- Lengths: 29 to 34 inches, including 32.5 and 33.5
- Break-in: none needed for an alloy

The 2027 Louisville Slugger Atlas 2.0 BBCOR is a one-piece alloy bat topped with a composite end cap, with a balanced swing feel, a -3 drop and a 2 5/8-inch barrel. The EVX Alloy barrel uses AI simulations to optimize wall thickness, and the lightweight XPND Performance End Cap pushes the sweet spot toward the tip. It also has Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) vibration control, a Pro Design Knob Taper and an LS Pro Comfort Grip. BBCOR .50 certified for high school and college play (also legal in Little League Intermediate 50-70 and Junior League). Sizes 29-34 in, 12-month manufacturer's warranty.
Who should pick which
Pick the Spec A1 if your hitter wants Combat's long one-piece barrel and already swings a 31-inch bat or longer. Pick the Atlas 2.0 if he needs a 29 or 30-inch bat or wants vibration control in the handle. Have him hold both if you can, since knob and handle feel are personal.
If neither alloy fits, our BBCOR bat guide covers composites and hybrids too. All BBCOR bats are drop 3; see our drop 3 guide for sizing.
