The best softball bat brand is the one that makes the right bat for your player. Louisville Slugger, Easton, DeMarini, Rawlings, Marucci and Mizuno all make good fastpitch bats, and the right one is the model whose feel, drop and price fit her. Use the brand to narrow the list, then choose by construction and size. Below is what each brand offers and where we'd start.

How we picked: we compared each brand's bats listed on this page on construction, drop and the stamp each bat carries, using the specs each maker and merchant lists. Checked Oct 21, 2026.
Louisville Slugger
Louisville Slugger's fastpitch line runs from the two-piece Kryo 2 and one-piece Kryo ONE down to the LXT and the -12 Aura. Start with Kryo 2 for a two-piece feel, or LXT if you want the same format at a lower price.

The 2027 Louisville Slugger Kryo 2 is a balanced two-piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2¼-inch barrel. Available drops are -11, -10, -9, -8; lengths and drops are grouped under this model.

The 2027 Louisville Slugger LXT is a balanced two-piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2¼-inch barrel. Available drops are -11, -10, -9, -8; lengths and drops are grouped under this model.
Easton
Easton's Ghost name covers more than one bat, so check the full name. Ghost OG is the lower-priced two-piece model, and Ghost Advanced is the step-up two-piece. In slowpitch, the Hype Fire is a slightly end-loaded USSSA bat.

The 2027 Easton Ghost OG is a balanced two-piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2¼-inch barrel. Available drops are -11, -10, -9, -8; lengths and drops are grouped under this model.
Two-piece composite slow-pitch bat with a 12.75-inch barrel and slightly end-loaded swing weight. Uses an HDK23 carbon fiber barrel, CXN MC+ connection and Flex 150 handle, with USSSA 240, NSA and ISA certifications.
DeMarini
DeMarini gives fastpitch players a clear choice between the two-piece Future and the one-piece Vizion. It also makes a wide slowpitch lineup, from the balanced El Mero Mero to end-loaded USSSA bats.

The 2027 DeMarini Future is a balanced two-piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2¼-inch barrel. Available drops are -11, -10, -9; lengths and drops are grouped under this model.

The 2027 DeMarini Vizion is a balanced one-piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2¼-inch barrel. Available drops are -10, -9, -8; lengths and drops are grouped under this model. JustBats lists a 5/5 customer rating from one review of the -10 variant as of October 12, 2026.
Balanced two-piece slow-pitch bat with a 13-inch APC composite barrel and ZnX alloy handle. Certified for USSSA 240, NSA and ISA play.
Rawlings
The Halo is Rawlings' two-piece fastpitch bat, offered from -8 down to -11. Compare it with the LXT if you're shopping below the top tier.

The 2027 Rawlings Halo is a balanced two-piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2¼-inch barrel. Available drops are -11, -10, -9, -8; lengths and drops are grouped under this model.
Marucci and Mizuno
Marucci's ASURA comes as a two-piece and as the one-piece ASURA Lux. Mizuno's CRBN1 is a one-piece composite. Both are -10 bats, so they fit an older player who's already comfortable at that weight.
2-piece composite fastpitch softball bat. GameChanger Bat Lab reported 64.2 mph average exit velocity and 175.3 feet average distance for this model. The 4.52/5 rating shown here is GameChanger's overall score, not a JustBats customer rating or BNY hands-on rating.

1-piece composite fastpitch softball bat. GameChanger Bat Lab reported 66.1 mph average exit velocity and 176.4 feet average distance for this model. The 4.48/5 rating shown here is GameChanger's overall score, not a JustBats customer rating or BNY hands-on rating.
Does the brand matter?
Less than the size and the feel. Two bats from different brands with the same construction and drop often have more in common than two bats from the same brand. If she loves her current bat, staying in that family makes sense. If not, swing a teammate's bat from another brand before you spend the money.
